Above & Beyond Veterinary Hospital | Pearland, TX | Associate Veterinarian
Hi!

My name is Dr. Cathy Cupples, and I started my own hospital in April 2019. I wanted to create something special, and I wanted to create a place where people enjoyed coming to work. In the little over two years that we have operated this hospital, we have had the fortune to expand to a second doctor, Dr. Pirela. We are both moms, and we love being veterinarians. Our entire staff is friendly and warm. We are a family-owned practice that needs another doctor to join us. If you are looking for a place that not only provides excellent care for pets but is also a truly fun and energetic place to be, please consider emailing me. We are a dog/cat practice with all of the bells and whistles needed to provide good medicine. We have a local ER, so there is no on-call! I will gladly answer any questions.

  • Typical schedule is 3-3.5 days/week, 1-2 Saturdays/month

  • We cover all dues/memberships/CE
  • We contribute to IRA and subsidize benefits.
-Salary ranges from 90k to 120k depending on the schedule. Both would be ProSal.
  • We have fun team parties
  • We have an awesome Party Planning Committee
  • We have a lot of perks!
  • Most of all, we try the best we can to take care of our staff.

To apply, Please email dr.cupples@abvethospital.com.

All Feline Hospital | Lincoln, NE | Veterinarian
Do you love working with cats?  Would you like to work with cats all day?  We are looking for an associate at a feline only practice!  A little backstory, the current owner who is 67 is working her way towards retirement.  I have worked here for 17 years and we have a gentlemen’s agreement for me to purchase the practice in the next year or two.  The owner is already in the process of switching the controlled drug registry to me so the process has begun.  However, like most vet clinics right now, we are SLAMMED!  We have more business than we can keep up with.  Because of that the current owner is hesitant to just leave until I have help!

The owner is a little more old school and can be a little challenging to work for at times but she still has a good heart and has worked with me many times to allow me to have time for my family when needed.  Once I take over, I am going to be an AWESOME boss!  I believe in family first, work life balance, and being rewarded for hard work.  I managed the clinic for 3 years before my daughter was born so I have no hesitation about stepping in as the owner.  We will close the clinic for 30 minutes every day for staff communication and teaching in the middle of the day.  We will offer benefits to all full time employees that want them.

As a new associate, you would be on a straight salary but with full benefits.  The salary would be commensurate with experience.  Once I take over we will be doing profit sharing for all staff from veterinarians down to ward attendants.  After all, we are a team and none of us can do what we do without the support of each other.  I am not a fan of surgery so if you have an interest in surgery that would be a huge bonus.  I love internal medicine and I do probably 98% of the dentals which I am fine with continuing if dentistry is not your thing but I am also happy to teach it to you.  We have a great staff that works well together – we do not have any troublemakers currently on staff.

We currently do 30 minute appointments per cat  (so one owner, 2 cats = 1 hour).  We also do LOTS of drop off appointments.  We have a digital x-ray developer, fairly new ultrasound, CO2 laser, digital dental x-ray and staff that can handle any cat of any temperament.  We do a lot of work with local cat rescues and TNR.  We have an angel fund for clients that cannot afford care and it is left up to your discretion if you choose to discount or give away a service.

We are located in Lincoln, Nebraska, which is a great place to raise kids and which has a low cost of living.  My borderline ADHD daughter goes to a private school located on a farm where she gets 90 minutes of outside time every day, she gets to go barefoot in class if she wants, minimal homework, and she is doing great!

If you would like more information or want to come out for a day and observe, feel free to contact me at sknudsendvm@gmail.com!

Apply today by contacting sknudsendvm@gmail.com.

Animal Urgent Care | Crown Point, IN | Veterinarian

Animal Urgent Care is the first and only veterinary urgent care facility in Northwest Indiana (Crown Point, IN). We recognized the need to fill the gap between primary care veterinarians and 24-hour veterinary emergency centers. Many pets that present to an emergency center do not require hospitalization or ICU care. Like urgent care facilities in human medicine, Animal Urgent Care offers high-quality, state-of-the-art in-house diagnostics and real-time urgent care at a cost much lower than a veterinary emergency center without an appointment.

Our office hours are Monday through Saturday from 4 PM to 12 AM and Sunday from 12 PM to 8 PM (with the last patient checked in 30 minutes before closing). We are closed on all major holidays.

We do not offer wellness/preventive care or provide overnight hospitalization. If a patient requires hospitalization or post-operative care, they are referred to one of the two local 24-hour emergency centers.

We are also less than 50 miles from MedVet Chicago and within 1.5 hours of Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

All veterinary technicians are licensed.

Benefits offered and mentorship is available to interested candidates!

Fredericktown Veterinary Clinic | Fredericktown, OH | Veterinarian

Looking for a new associate to join a Double-DVM Mama team! Located 45 minutes north of Columbus, Ohio, we have the best of both worlds – country living with a big city nearby (which has two excellent referral facilities).

We are currently a mixed animal practice with a 65/20/15 split for small animal/equine/large animal. We have digital radiography, in-house IDEXX equipment for bloodwork/urinalysis, ultrasound, surgical laser, and a fantastic attached drive-through barn with stalls, stocks, and a chute. Of course, the bells and whistles would be nothing without our amazing team of very competent, hard-working, and fun registered technicians and receptionists!
We offer paid CE, AVMA/OVMA dues, DEA license, PLIT, 401k matching, and partner with AFLAC to offer short-term disability, etc.

We also have several other non-traditional perks centered around our family-friendly focus. We can’t stress enough how much our families come first at this clinic and how we all work hard to support each other to make sure we have the time we need for doctor appointments, special school functions, sick kiddos, sports events, you name it. Does your little one need to come to work because your sitter is out sick? We converted an office into a kid-safe playroom!

We do shared on-call during the week for our clients and one weekend a month shared with other clinics in the county. Our technicians triage on the phone for us and make sure we only get called about true ERs (and if it needs to get referred, it gets referred!).

Please feel free to email me with any questions (catstonerdvm@gmail.com)! We are looking for full-time but would also entertain part-time if the schedule works out. We would prefer some experience but are also ok with providing mentorship to the right person! Here is another sentence with a period, so I don’t seem overly energetic. But come work with us!!!

We are a small, privately owned practice (translation: we practice good medicine, we don’t have to worry about someone looking over our shoulders telling us how to practice or how much money we have to take in), with a competent staff that is stable and has worked together many years. My associate of 23 years retired last year, and I’m looking for an experienced, part-time vet who likes clients, treat the staff respectfully like the professionals that they are, and can have fun. Pittsburgh Spay and Vaccination Clinic | Verona, PA | Veterinarian - Full-time

Our Veterinary Clinic, located in a near-eastern suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, is entering our fifth decade of service to our family of clients and their pets. Our original mission was that of an urban spay and vaccination clinic, but since 1994, we have enjoyed practicing progressive full-service medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry in a freestanding suburban facility.

Our goal is to establish lasting bonds with our clients by stressing education so we can collaborate to provide the best level of care for their pets.

We are seeking to grow our team by welcoming a compassionate and positive Veterinarian with, minimally, 1-2 years’ experience who is ready to practice comprehensive, high-diagnostic medicine with the opportunity to be mentored in surgery if that is your passion. Our three full-time and one part-time Veterinarians have special interests in feline medicine, general internal medicine, extensive soft tissue surgery, medical and surgical oncology, and small mammal medicine and surgery. Your special interests are encouraged.

Our drive to always achieve a diagnosis is aided by a full Idexx Lab Suite, a VCheck analyzer to provide critical case analyses of proBNP, cPL, fPL, TSH, Cortisol, and others. Direct digital radiology, digital dental radiology, Phillips Lumify US, a modern two table surgical suite, and an IM3 high speed dental suite round out the major equipment list.

All the bells and whistles would be irrelevant without our amazing Technician staff of six Licensed Technicians, three Graduate Technicians, and a Veterinary Assistant who have a combined experience of 260 years.

We offer a four or five day work week with three-day weekend off, the frequency depending on the number of associates. There are several high quality local Emergency / Specialty Clinics, one of which features sixty ER, Critical Care, and Specialty Veterinarians, so exemplary referral care is nearby.

Our doctors receive a competitive base salary enhanced by a sliding scale bonus system ranging from 21%-24% based on production, with no negative accrual (for you VCAers). We provide vacation weeks, sick days, fully paid highest quality health insurance with an annual $500 deductible, annual CE stipend of $2000, three Association dues, PLIT insurance, and uniform allowance.

San Benito Veterinary Center | Hollister, CA | Associate Veterinarian

Are you an experienced veterinarian looking for a change of pace or a new grad looking for a fresh start? San Benito Veterinary Center is looking for you!

San Benito Veterinary Center is a fast-paced, youthful practice located in the rustic agricultural town of Hollister California. We are seeking small or mixed animal associate veterinarians, full or part-time. The owners of the practice, Drs. Arthur and Lindsey Sanders, are a young couple with young children and, as such, seek to foster an exceptional work-life balance for everyone on their team. Veterinary medicine can be a high-stress career and, because of this, minimizing stress outside of practice is of paramount importance. Want five eight-hour days? Four ten-hour days? Three fourteen-hour days? Part-time? San Benito Veterinary Center will make it happen. In addition, we offer a record-transcription service that allows you to simply speak your records throughout the day, eliminating the need for long nights of record typing that keep you from being home and relaxing, and spending time with your family.

San Benito Veterinary Center is the highest volume practice serving Hollister. Due to our high caseload and relative distance from the nearest cosmopolitan area, we have become more of a general practice/ER hybrid, but with no after-hours or on-call responsibilities. We are currently open 8 am-6 pm, 7 days per week, but our hours can change as needed. We treat mainly dogs and cats, but some of our veterinarians also treat reptiles, poultry and other birds, small mammals, and wildlife, so you are welcome to see whatever species you are comfortable with. In addition, we have a four-stall barn and the facilities to see large animals for any veterinarian who might be interested. Large animals are a truly underserved group in Hollister, as there is not a single large animal hospital in Hollister or even in San Benito county, so this could be a golden opportunity for a largely untapped client base for any motivated large or mixed animal veterinarian! We currently offer small animal medicine including state-of-the-art abdominal ultrasound, full digital radiography, cutting-edge dentistry with brand new dental radiograph machine and dental equipment, a full in-house lab, and small animal surgery ranging from spays and neuters to advanced soft tissue procedures and some orthopedics. We will soon be adding endoscopy and CO2 laser surgery.

The San Benito Veterinary Center team is a cohesive unit of positive, self-motivated individuals who strive to form an uplifting, encouraging environment. We are renowned for our family-friendly philosophy, and our low turnover speaks volumes about this.

Regardless of your professional interests, we offer the following benefits:

    • Base pay of $120,000/year with commission bonuses equal to 20-22% of your production.
    • Signing bonus of $15,000
    • PTO-120 hours per fiscal year
    • Health/dental/vision insurance
    • 401k and retirement plan with employer match
    • $4,000 in CE allowance/year
    • 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave
    • Flexible scheduling
    • Practice closure on all banking holidays
    • Mentorship in medicine/surgery for new grads
    • Moving/relocation stipend
